ABOUT CETT

Centre for Educational Transformation through Technology (CETT) was established in 2021 to empower faculty members on various aspects of teaching-learning practices. It is integral to JAIN (Deemed-to-be University)’s transformational journey called JAIN 2.0. A specialised wing, mentored by the university’s core leadership, proactively functions as an extended arm enabling the university to move on its cherished path to explore and adopt new technology tools, innovative techniques and improved teaching practices to strengthen competencies relevant to the 21st-century learning environment and in elevating its professional communities to reach more significant milestones in their collective journey along the path of academic excellence. It plays a catalytic role in offering thought leadership and direction, creating and fostering success stories and enabling research and development by providing appropriate recommendations, active support and periodic systematic training. In addition, CETT also seeks to contribute towards resource optimisation across areas for improving outcome attainments besides identifying and reducing duplication of efforts across initiatives within the university system.

ABOUT WOMEN CELL

The Women’s Cell in JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) plays a pivotal role in fostering a sense of unity and purpose among individuals, all dedicated to the advancement of an equitable society. Through a range of initiatives, the cell ensures that women occupy an integral place in our community, deserving equal representation in both private and public spheres, achieved through a combination of theoretical, practical, and outreach methods. The Women Cell raises awareness among faculty and students alike, emphasising the importance of gender equality and encouraging active engagement by sensitising them to the current social landscape.

In line with this mission, the Women Cell regularly organises outreach activities, including visiting schools, NGOs, and institutions catering to visually impaired and differently-abled individuals to spread awareness within these communities. Additionally, the annual celebration of International Women’s Day serves as an emotional occasion to acknowledge and appreciate the resilience displayed by women. The ultimate goal of these collective efforts is to foster a self-reliant womanhood characterised by pride and acceptance.

WOMEN ACHIEVERS SUMMIT AND AWARDS 2024

Jain (Deemed-to-be University) will host The Women Achievers Summit and Awards on March 1st, 2024 to honour the remarkable accomplishments of women from diverse fields. In a world filled with remarkable women who have achieved great success and made significant contributions to society, it’s unfortunate that many unsung women heroes remain hidden in the shadows. While celebrity women often receive widespread recognition and adoration, those who quietly work behind the scenes, making invaluable contributions to their communities and the world, often go unnoticed. This discrepancy in the recognition of women’s achievements not only does a disservice to these unsung heroes but also perpetuates gender inequality. The summit and award ceremony are not just about acknowledging the success stories of women; they are a testament to the resilience, determination, and courage women display as they navigate their paths to success. The event will feature panel discussions, keynote speakers, and networking opportunities, along with creating an environment where participants can exchange ideas, share experiences, and inspire one another. The connections made at the summit can lead to future collaborations, research projects, business ventures, and initiatives to further women’s empowerment and gender equality. Ultimately, the summit will have a positive and far-reaching impact on society by contributing to the advancement of women’s rights, gender equality, and overall societal progress. The Summit is expected to align the university’s objective with The National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020), which emphasises on women’s inclusion and empowerment in the education sector.
